LOCALITATION OF LIVERPOOL


 Liverpool is a compelling, fascinating city with a compact central area that provides good transport links to the rest of the region. If you are fanatical about sports or fancy a sporting chance at the races, if you want some culture or prefer to go clubbing, explore some heritage sites or experience some musical delights, this is the place to be! A visually spectacular city that guarantees visitors a warm and friendly welcome.



WHAT  TO SEE?



Liverpool was the European Cultural Capital in 2008. For this and more, should be on our list of upcoming trips and destinations. A year from now, the city has taken a considerable increase. Now in its time was a world class city, one of the busiest ports in the world. In the early nineteenth century, 40 percent of global trade passing through the docks of the River Mersey in Liverpool.

  
 

Liverpool Cathedral is the largest in Britain and the fifth largest in the world. 

Its impressive façade, red-colored sandstone, merely presenting a spectacular interior. Do not be surprised if you see inside the church the typical English phone booth. Will surprise you in every way.



WHAT  CAN WE EAT?

In 2012 is a very special year for Liverpool as the city celebrates 50 years of The Beatles with a spectacular, year-long programme of events. On 18 August 1962 Ringo Starr made his first appearance as the Beatles official drummer at Hulme Hall in the village of Port Sunlight, Wirral. The four members of the band had a two hour rehearsal before taking to the stage as the headline act in the local Horticultural Society’s 17th annual dance. On that night the Fab Four were born...the rest is history. The Beatles - John, Paul, George and Ringo – then took the charts by storm in 1962 with their first official release, Love Me Do, quickly followed by Please Please Me and From Me to You. Beatlemania soon swept across the globe as the Fab Four recorded a staggering 12 studio albums, 13 EPs and 22 singles from 1962 to 1970. It is estimated they have sold over one billion records worldwide. Today, The Beatles continue to influence many musicians and artists as well as attracting a new generation of fans. In recognition, Liverpool has created an exciting and diverse programme of events including performances from the renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, exclusive anniversary concerts at the Cavern Club and a very special ’50 Years of The Beatles’ Mathew Street Festival.
